Spielberg returned to helm the first sequel, The Lost World, which was followed by Jurassic Park III, Jurassic World, and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, with Jurassic World: Dominion on the way for a summer 2022 release. That one promises to conclude the series, but Universal executives will probably be lining up around this dead horse with baseball bats at the ready in a couple of years. Every sequel to Jurassic Park has failed to justify its existence, because Jurassic Park is a movie that didn’t need any sequels....

Daniella Pineda, known as Zia Rodriguez in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and its upcoming sequel, Jurassic World Dominion, has just added her expertise to the star-studded cast list of Tales of The Walking Dead. The denial issued by Judge Edward M. Chen of the U.S. District Court for Northern California leaves the drivers to individually arbitrate their claims directly with legal representatives from Uber. The workers’ attorney Shannon Liss-Riordan has pledged to appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Uber currently classifies its drivers as independent contractors even though numerous drivers work more than 40 hours a week. Thus far, no American courts have ruled on whether ridesharing companies have any obligation to reclassify its workers as employees....

Prosecutors and defense attorneys spent hours on Monday questioning 20 potential jurors in Glynn County. About 1,000 people in Glynn County received jury summons for the case. The large juror pool represented the difficulty in the task of finding impartial jurors considering how Arbery’s killing dominated the news last summer. However, the judge in the case, Superior Court Judge Timothy Walmsley has encouraged the lawyers to “streamline” their approach to speed up the process....

Aquilina sentenced Nassar, 54, to between 40 and 175 years in state prison on seven sexual assault charges back in January. This sentencing came after a seven-day sentencing hearing that took the country by storm, as 156 of Nassar’s victims, including several Olympic gymnasts, and 169 people overall delivered victim impact statements over the course of that seven-day period. There were only expected to be around 80 victim impact statements delivered during this sentencing hearing at first, but several dozen more survivors came and delivered theirs after being inspired by watching others deliver theirs....

On Friday, a judge in Singapore sentenced Punithan Genasan, a 37-year-old Malaysian man for heroin trafficking offenses. According to The Straits Times, Genasan introduced two drug dealers to each other in 2011, and was found to be associated with trafficking at least 28.5 grams of heroin. The Straits Times also reported that Genasan departed from Singapore a day after he introduced the duo, who were identified as V. Shanmugam Veloo from Malaysia and Mohd Suief Ismail of Singapore....

The New York Yankees rookie, who leads MLB with 30 home runs this season, looked like he might have a short Derby experience when Marlins first baseman Justin Bour jacked 22 home runs against Judge in the first round. Judge calmly came up and swatted 23 to upend Bour in front of his home fans. Judge smacked an insane four home runs over 500 feet, topping out at 513....

The U.K. High Court issued a ruling Friday that deemed U.S. assurances of his treatment once he is in the country satisfactory enough to have Assange extradited there after a lengthy appeal in which the Australian editor and activist previously won an effort to block the move in the lower Central Criminal Court in January. Assange’s lawyer, Barry Pollack, argued the diplomatic assurances from Washington were not sufficient, accusing the administration of former President Donald Trump of attempting to take Assange by force....
