Wordle used to be hosted on its own site when it was being worked on by a sole indie developer; however, the New York Times has officially acquired it, and it’s now available to play on the site’s Games section, along with the NYTs iconic crossword puzzle.

Head to the official site hosted by the New York Times Input a solid starting word to narrow down the daily solution The tiles will change color depending on how close players are to the answer If the tile turns green, that means the letter is in the word and the correct spot If the tile turns yellow, the letter is not in the correct spot, but it’s still part of the Wordle answer And lastly, if the tile turns gray, the chosen letter is not in the answer and should not be used again
