Since Wordle is a browser-based game, players can play with almost any device that connects to the internet. Head to the site. Next, choose a starting word; it should be five letters long, a real English word, and contain several of the most common Wordle letters. Type it into the site and press enter. The letters will change color.
Green letters are correct and in the right place. Yellow letters are correct but in the wrong place in the word. Gray letters are incorrect.
Players have just six total guesses to get to the answer. Puzzles reset at midnight local time. Also, when a puzzle is complete, players can see the Wordle menu. This menu contains both stats and a spoiler-free share button.
The stats include things like total puzzles played, win streak, and guess distribution. This menu can be reached after each puzzle or at any time with the graph icon in the upper right-hand part of the New York Times Games Wordle site.
